BIAC Zero Corruption Campaign

25/06/2024

On March 1, 2024, Business at OECD (BIAC) launched a campaign called Zero Corruption.

This campaign marks the 25th anniversary of the implementation one of the major legal instruments in this area, the OECD Convention on Combating Bribery of Foreign Public Officials in International Business Transactions. Eliminating corruption is a crucial step in ensuring a sustainable future for all.

The Campaign specifically emphasizes the role of the private sector in fighting corruption. Therefore, throughout the year, BIAC is collecting examples of initiatives from business communities. The goal is to gather information about projects, events, and publications organized by business associations as well as individual companies related to the fight against corruption and bribery.

The Croatian Employers’ Association representative, Nataša Novaković, who is also a member of the Croatian National Contact Point for Responsible Business Conduct, is involved in the campaign as a member of the BIAC OECD Anti-Corruption Committee. Ms. Novaković is collecting examples of good practices in Croatia through a questionnaire, which should be filled out and sent to her email address: natasa.novakovic@hup.hr

Additionally, BIAC has adopted a Zero Corruption Manifesto, which calls on business people and policymakers to: change the way we think about corruption, create more meaningful tools, take impactful measures, and act together globally.
